Located at the bottom of the village next to the church (and marked on the village map), Platanos Taverna is run by the Christodoulou family. Here Soula and Manolis and their sons, Michaelis and Vassilis run a very successful and very popular restaurant that provides traditional Greek food from the oven and the grill.
A new Platanos restaurant, in true traditional style, was opened in spring of 2009. The new restaurant provides a most spectacular view of the valley beside the village and an opportunity to see the sun set behind the hills. The restaurant takes its name from the big Platanos tree (a relative of the maple tree) in the square in front of the church and it is wonderful to sit here, on a warm evening under the stars listening to the nearby fountains. During the summer, musicians sometimes come here and play traditional and modern music just for fun!
